Level Term Life

Provides funds to help an employee’s family pay debts in the event of a covered employee’s premature death

  • Face amounts up to $250,000; $4/week minimum purchase
  • Choice of term periods: 5 years, 10 years, 20 years and to age 65
  • Waiver of premium after 6 months of disability
  • Renewable to age 65
  • Guaranteed insurability - exercisable on 1st and 2nd policy anniversary
  • Accelerated payment benefit will pay partial or full benefits while the insured is still living in the event of a terminal illness
  • Conversion privilege to Permanent Life Plan - exercisable at end of any term period
  • Spouse and children’s rider available
  • Benefits are portable - the insured can keep the coverage even if there is a job change

Universal Life

Provides growing cash reserves for covered employees as well as death benefits for the employee’s family

  • Coverage can be selected based on either the amount of the premium contribution or the desired death benefit
  • Accelerated payment benefit will pay partial or full benefits while the insured is still living in the event of a terminal illness
  • The income earned on the cash value is tax deferred (under current law)
  • The policy can be assigned as collateral for a loan
  • Once sufficient cash reserves have accumulated, premium payments can be lowered, skipped, or even stopped as long as there are funds to cover the cost of protection
  • Coverage for spouse and children is available
  • Optional waver of premium rider if the insured becomes totally disabled prior to age 60
  • Optional accidental death benefit rider doubles the death benefit paid if death is due to an accident prior to age 70
  • Choice of benefit payment options
  • Benefits are portable - the insured can keep the coverage even if there is a job change

Disability Income

Provides monthly income if a covered employee becomes ill or injured and unable to work

  • Up to 60% of current gross wages - minimum $500/month; maximum $5,000/month
  • Choose when benefit payments begin after a covered disability:
    0 (accident only), 7, 14, 30, 90 or 180 days
  • Benefit periods: 6 months or 12 months
  • Partial recovery monthly benefit – 50% benefit paid for up to 3 months
  • Benefits are tax-free (since employee pays the entire premium)
  • Guaranteed renewable until age 70 or upon receipt of Social Security retirement benefits
  • Optional extended benefit periods - additional 1 year or 4 years
  • Waiver of any premiums due after the first 14 days of total disability until the end of your benefit period
  • Pregnancy covered the same as any other disability
  • Benefits are portable - the insured can keep the coverage even if there is a job change
